You asked for a GREAT way to get in shape and we provided! Join us for a short ride and a full body workout! This Friday (6/20) is “Fat Burning Friday!!!
Meet us at the shop with your bike at 6:00PM. From there as a group, we will take a short, ride out to the Wabash Trail. We will ride out and then back to about the 1/2 way point to One on One Fitness. There we will meet personal trainer, Charlie Davis! Who will run us through a 30 minute, full-body workout. Afterwards, as a group we will head back to the shop!
Please bring your bike, a water bottle and $5 (to cover the cost of the trainer), helmet not required but highly encouraged and join us at 6:00PM on Friday night!
Riding around with soft tires can open up a can of worms, full of inconvenience, as well as dragging down your spirit and top speed. Always check your tires before heading out on a ride; some thinner walled inner tubes can lose between 5 and 20psi a day.
Either give them a squeeze by applying ﬁrm pressure to the top with your thumb or ping them with a ﬁrm ﬂick of the ﬁnger. They should produce a drum-like hollow sound and feel very ﬁrm when at the correct pressure.
Use a good ﬂoor pump like the JoeBlow II from Topeak available now at Ace Bike Shop (we use it at the shop)!
Monday night group ride tomorrow!! Leaving from the shop at 5:30PM. These rides are geared towards all levels of riders (weather permitting) and FREE of charge!
Just bring your bike (in good working condition), a helmet (strongly encouraged) and a water bottle. Please arrive a little early to set up your bike before the ride. We will head out to Chatham, regroup there and then head back to Springfield. These rides will feature at least 2 Ace staffers; one to lead the group and one to bring up the rear in the event of a breakdown.
